The journey begins in Chilaw, visiting the Munishwaram Temple, believed to be the first Shiva temple established by Lord Rama to absolve the sin of Brahmahatya after defeating Ravana. Nearby, the Manavari Temple houses the first lingam installed by Rama, known as ‘Ramalinga Shivan’.
